Urgent Notice: UMS Banking has been notified by our processor that some merchants may be receiving fraudulent "Master Card Security Alert" emails. These emails are phishing scams that are asking merchants to run a payment card test transaction and a refund on a different payment card. The email instructs merchants to send detailed information of transactions to an email address. The email address is NOT affiliated with MasterCard.

This address is not legitimate and the people sending out this email are criminals trying to gain information to make fraudulent transactions and refunds with stolen card data.

If you receive any unsolicited phone call, email, text message or social media request from someone claiming to be a representative of MasterCard, do not respond! Please report this attempt to MasterCard Data Security as they are currently working on handling this situation.
